Cimarron Cove is a gated planned unit development (PUD) in Cathedral City, California located at the edge of a local resort. Many homes have spectacular views of the golf course and mountains.
Cimarron Cove was completed between 2004 and 2005. Today there are 169 single family residences with a variety of floor plans. Home Owners Association fees cover the community pool, spa, barbecue area, park, and tot lot as well as the entrances.
The Palm Springs Unified School District serves this community with facilities like Agua Caliente Elementary School, James Workman Middle School, and Mt. San Jacinto High School. There are also several private institutions like Desert Chapel Christian, King’s Schools of the Desert, and Temple Isaiah’s Early Childhood Center.
Residents are within walking distance to the Cimarron Golf Resort which offers championship golf courses, tournaments, and events. The Boulder Course was listed as tenth in the “Top 25 Best Places to Play in Southern California”.
There are many shopping centers in this region including the Cathedral City Marketplace, the Cathedral Plaza Shopping Center, and the Rimrock Shopping Center. It is only a short half an hour to El Paseo shopping in Palm Desert.
There are ten parks in this city including Agua Caliente Park, Ocotillo Park, Town Square, and Patriot Park. Most have picnic tables and tot lots; some have barbecue pits and sports fields.
Cathedral City is located between Rancho Mirage and Palm Springs. It is the second largest in Coachella Valley and was once involved in a downtown revitalization program in the 1990s.
